L.A. Casting Call For The Next Food Network Star
If you have devotedly watched the last six seasons of The Next Food Network Star; if you've papered your kitchen with posters of Guy Fieri, winner of Season 2 and current host of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives; if you secretly hear Giada De Laurentiis and Bobby Flay while you pipe frosting onto cupcakes during your day job as a caterer or those long hours at night on the line or while you make dinner for your kids after work, then you might want to consider heading over to the open casting call for Season 7. It's called reality TV for a reason.
The Food Network is calling on "chefs, line cooks, home cooks, caterers and culinary enthusiasts" to try out for the 2011 season of the show on August 10th. Bring two recent photos, your resume and a completed application to the Marriott. Oh, and what are they looking for? In addition to actual cooking skills, they'd like a "personality that pops," whatever that means, "passion for cooking" and "lots of energy and enthusiasm." Hair like an aging heavy metal guitarist probably wouldn't hurt either.
Open casting call: Tuesday, August 10th, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport, 2500 Hollywood Way, Burbank.
