Snowmass Village, CO – Test your skill in Aspen’s best snow sculpture event! Grab your buckets and snow shovels – it’s time to apply for Wintersculpt, January 13-15, 2011. Carve an 8 sq ft cube of snow in 48 hours on the Aspen pedestrian mall as part of Aspen’s 2011 60th Anniversary Wintersköl festivities. Anderson Ranch Arts Center is seeking submissions from artists and amateurs, sculptors, builders and tinkerers, friends, families and businesses, young and old. Everyone is invited to participate. It only takes a good idea, a love of snow, and a few pairs of mittens.
The 2011 theme is based on Wintersköl’s 60th “Diamond” Anniversary.

Participation stipend is $200 per team with prizes awarded for 1st ($400), 2nd ($200) and 3rd place ($100). Sculptures will be judged on Saturday, January 15 at 4 pm and awards will be announced at 6 pm at the EPIC WinterFest on the Cooper Ave Mall in downtown Aspen.
