The City of Austin’s Art in Public Places program has released a new Call to Artists for artists living or working in Texas (complete details can be found on the AIPP website), for Bartholomew Municipal Pool.
Artist Information Meeting will be held Thursday, July 14, at 7 pm at Cultural Arts Division offices, 201 E. Second Street, Austin, TX. Park in the Austin Convention Center garage and we will validate your parking. Further details about the call below.
Budget: $38 ,000 inclusive of design, fabrication and installation.
Partial Description: "City of Austin (...) seeks to commission a professional visual artist/artist team to design, fabricate and install a gate system for the Bartholomew Pool Art in Public Places project. The intent for the public art is to showcase a work of contemporary public art which will serve as an aesthetic and well- constructed functioning entrance gate to the pool."
