AUCTIONS INTERNSHIP:
A perfect opportunity to get involved with artnet Worldwide Corporation and the Online Auctions department. You will gain a first-hand experience primarily researching artists as well as artworks in the modern and contemporary art market. You will be responsible for researching and updating artist bios, entering lots for auction including some liaisons between existing and potential clients. Ideal candidates will be an Undergraduate student (3rd or 4th year preferred) with a concentration in art history and an interest in research.

DESCRIPTION:
-Two days/week with Daily Stipend of $20.00 for lunch and transportation
-Available for School Credit upon application

EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
-Art History field of study
- French language read/write preferred
-Strong proofreading skills—and ability to self-proofread—and attention to detail is required
-Excellent computer skills are required with Word, Excel, and Outlook
-Good communication skills
-Moderate Photoshop skills are required
-Experience working for a website and using backend tools a plus
-Good organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines required

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
-Hands-on learning experience:
-Researching artist bios to upload into our database
-Contacting Artist foundations, estates, catalogue raisonnes etc
-Cataloguing artworks, “photo-shopping”/resizing images
-Liaising between galleries, dealers, and collectors for consignments and transactions
