Come meet author Jake Brittain and illustrator Scott Dykema Friday, January 28. The autographed book will make a great valentine's present for your children or grandchildren.
Keep Dreaming reminds us how vital everyday dreams have been to enha nce our lives. No dream is too small or too big. Original paintings that illustrate the book are part of the "Roots & Dreams" exhibit that continues at Eclectic Expressions through February 6.
This is supposedly a children's book, but if you're like me you'll insist on keeping your own copy. Included with the book, there's a CD withn the story sung in 3 different music styles: Reggae, funky and lullaby.
For each book sold, one is donated to local charities.
If you are interested in art classes, visit our classroom and meet teen & adult teacher Barbara McFarland. Scott Dykema teaches children's classes and can visit with you about his classes.
UTA Gallery will be having an exhibition opening 6 - 8 pm and brief art conversation at 6:30 pm on January 28. For detils contact Benito Huerta or Patricia Healy (817) 272-5658 or visit www.uta.edu/gallery
Downtown Coffee includes original art by local artists in their gift area and will have a coffee tasting the evening of January 28. They are on the west side of Mesquite St. just south of Abram on your way from UTA to Eclectic Expressions.
