Artist Opportunity – US Mint Final Call for Artists
Deadline: July 6

My name is Emily Ziobrowski and I am a Marketing Specialist with the United States Mint. I am writing to announce last portion of the United States Mint’s 2009 – 2010 Call for Artists! This final deadline will be July 6th, 2010. Applications will be accepted before midnight on this date.

During our final Call for Artists, the United States Mint invites artists, designers, and illustrators from all over the country to apply for a paid position as a contracted, Associate Designer in our successful Artistic Infusion Program (AIP). Artists chosen to be a part of the AIP program can work from anywhere and have the tremendous opportunity to take part in American history by contributing potential designs for the next generation of coins. Previously, AIP artists have submitted successful designs for coins released through the 50 State Quarters® Program and the Presidential $1 Coin Program. This year, artists can apply online ! Additionally, after submitted designs are reviewed, one design will ultimately be chosen to become a coin. Chosen artists will receive $2,000 for each assigned design submission as well as an additional $5,000 if their design is selected to be sculpted into a coin.

This is a special opportunity for artists to participate in this prestigious American program. I encourage you to share this information with the members of your art organization perhaps through an email, a newsletter, Twitter, Facebook, a blog, or a web-posting.

Please visit http://www.usmint.gov/artists for more information. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, feel free to email me, as I would love to speak with you and discuss how the United States Mint can best work with your organization.

Thank you very much and I look forward to hearing from you.

Best, Emily Ziobrowski
